Xs and I will be moving to Sandbanks very soon.
Sandbanks, in case you didn't know, is a small peninsula or spit (1 km2 or 0.39 sq mi) crossing the mouth of Poole Harbour on the English Channel coast at Poole in Dorset, England. It is well known for the highly regarded Sandbanks Beach and property value; Sandbanks has, by area, the fourth highest land value in the world. The Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs Coastline area has been dubbed as "Britain's Palm Beach" by the national media. [source Wikipedia].
The Sandbanks peninsula was once a shanty town at the entrance to Poole Harbour. Many of the shacks and old converted railway carriages were residences and summer homes for people who had set them up soon after the turn of the century, the last of these buildings disappeared in the 1960s. The whole of Sandbanks, now worth 100's of millions, was once offered for sale by the Guest family who then owned it, for £200 and there were no takers!!
Today a house in Sandbanks can cost millions and almost every square inch of the peninsula has been occupied by expensive apartments and luxurious houses, many with gardens reaching down to the sandy shore.
A holder of the European Blue Flag for a record 22 years, Sandbanks Beach is undoubtedly the best beach on the South Coast of England …. some would say in Britain!
Sandbanks is diverse – with 5 star hotels, high end restaurants, the Chain Ferry which links Sandbanks to the Isle of Purbeck, Sandbanks Stores and some outstanding properties, Sandbanks is considered hugely desirable as a place to live, retire or own a holiday home in the sun.

Looking online at the properties for sale, they vary in price considerably. The most expensive one I've spotted so far is in the region of £7m - Harbour Watch but hey, with the power of manifestation, that's certainly within my budget.
This looks a totally perfect property for us. Sea view; plenty of boat mooring; light, airy, spacious rooms; what an impressive entrance hall [I've always loved twin staircases - there's even a lift in the property, great for those days when the stairs are just a little too much to cope with lol].
Of course, Xs and I would have to go and buy a boat, or two, to take full advantage of the wonderful mooring at the property but I'm sure that wouldn't be a chore. He's more used to smaller craft, but I expect he'd be okay about upgrading.
To top it all, there's an underground garage with parking for 7 - yes 7 cars!
All in all, this is the perfect property for Xs and I, our families and our lives and it's going to be ours very soon.
